Sense of Community Binds Humanity – A Hollywood Perspective

By April 16, 2018 No Comments

Annabelle Stephenson – Volunteering Services Australia Ambassador

Volunteering Services Australia is excited to welcome our newest Ambassador, Hollywood actress Annabelle Stephenson. Annabelle will be joining a team of VSA Ambassadors, including Mayor Tom Tate and Dawn Fraser, who share the same joy and passion for volunteering and giving back to the community.

Annabelle was born in London and moved to the Gold Coast as a child. Growing up she was heavily involved in performing arts. Including school plays and dancing that led her to her first professional acting role in children’s show H2O: Just Add Water. She has since moved to Los Angeles and has been working in Hollywood for the past 10 years, starring in hit movies such as Pray for Rain and television shows such as Revenge.

Her strong tie to the Gold Coast and love for people and the community, was her deciding factor in returning.

“Living in LA, the Australian expat community is a cushion of support and comfort in a foreign country. After my many years away from home it became clear that Australian’s have an innate ability to connect with and help each other under any circumstance. It’s now time for me to give back.” Said Annabelle Stephenson.

Annabelle has always believed that a sense of community is what binds humanity and is excited to start working alongside Volunteering Services Australia as an Ambassador.

“Volunteering Services Australia is dedicated to strengthening the integral connection of the individual to the wider community by providing excellence in volunteering, transport services and business. I am proud to represent this wonderful organisation and its passion to unite and reach out to those who need it,” said Annabelle.

VSA are delighted to have Annabelle as one of their Ambassadors and very much look forward to seeing Annabelles’ involvement as and Ambassador and to see how she can ignite volunteering and the community.
